There is no single uniform description for an instrument that has taken vision technology and applied it to a bench of floor mounted inspection device.
Of the 8 major manufacturers of these instruments, 3 call them Vision Systems, the other 5, each have their own description. It makes looking for them on the internet a challenge.
Vision systems in the majority of applications are component systems applied to product inspection in manufacturing.
